With an optimal warehouse layout within the given building structure, we create the basis for efficient order picking. Our capacity planning is based on holistic concepts for storage, picking, packaging and shipping services. These contain all the relevant details, from the number of employees on site and the required equipment to innovative process developments. A continuous improvement process is fundamentally part of our approach. Together with our client, we take on the overall coordination for a smooth process and consistent communication. We react flexibly to the diverse influences and requirements at the location and identify suitable solution measures to implement continuous warehouse optimisation. We not only manage and optimise the physical material flows, but also optimise the IT structures. We rely on our own software, motus warehouse, and work with other customer-specific software applications on request at the same time. The clear separation of the different users in our multi-user systems is also regulated by reliable IT.
The use of the most modern storage, racking and vehicle technology is a matter of course for us. We have been working in warehouse logistics with well-known partners on the manufacturer side, such as BITO, for years. Whether innovative narrow-aisle forklifts, efficient tugger train solutions or the partial automation of entire processes – we examine the use of innovative technologies for all of our clients. In Gruma, we have a single sourcing partner who offers optimal solutions, especially in the field of industrial trucks.
We also meet the highest standards when it comes to the thermal environment: We ensure an ideal temperature in the warehouse, tailored to the stored products, and ensure that all individual item requirements are taken into account. In addition, we offer sophisticated safety concepts and extensive use of sprinkler technology.
In close cooperation with the Transport Logistics competence centre, we develop supply chain-oriented solutions all the way to the end customer. Taking into account the industry, the corresponding product range and the associated requirements, our team of experts plans and optimises tailor-made warehouse and process designs. In this way, we ensure professional storage of the range of articles, compliance with the delivery time specified by the customer and product-appropriate packaging for shipping. We reduce storage costs and offer process-optimised, manual, as well as partially, or fully automated storage concepts. This is how we create real added value for our clients.
