OUR COMPANY HISTORY

The success story of REICHHART Logistik began with the founding of a one-man transport company by Horst Reichhart in Gilching in 1967. Since then, the second-generation owner-managed family company has developed into an international logistics service provider. The service portfolio has consistently developed in the company's more than 50-year history and comprises five competence centres: Transport logistics, sequencing and assembly, warehousing, factory logistics and digital logistics. The passion for logistics forms the basis for tailor-made logistics solutions along the entire value chain – then as now. REICHHART Logistik is the proof that a traditional company in a mature industry can grow steadily and keep pace and at the same time never lose the connection to its roots, its people and the region.

2026

REICHHART Logistik awarded the Purem by Eberspächer project in Algeria

REICHHART Logistics Wins Purem by Eberspächer Project in Algeria. REICHHART Logistics has been awarded a strategically significant contract in Oran, Algeria. The client is long-standing partner Purem by Eberspächer, an internationally active specialist in exhaust aftertreatment and acoustic systems for passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and off-road vehicles. Starting in June 2026, REICHHART will assume full operational responsibility for exhaust systems processed at a new production plant. The scope of the project includes welding, sequencing, and transport processes.

REICHHART Logistik wins contracts for Stellantis &You distribution centers

REICHHART Logistics Wins Contracts for Stellantis &You Distribution Centers. With activities in transport and contract logistics at the Wiesbaden and Ettlingen sites, we handle goods receipt, parts storage, order picking, and distribution to workshops and customers in the region. By taking over these sites, we are further strengthening our key role within the Stellantis &You distribution system and making a significant contribution to supplying workshops and customers in the region.

2024

Sustainable transport solutions and high quality secure further contracts

Sustainable Transport Solutions and High Quality Secure Further Contracts. In recent years, we have further differentiated our contract logistics services and opened new sites in Germany, such as in Bayreuth for BAT. A strong commitment to quality also helps ensure that existing customers extend their contracts. In transport logistics, we are increasingly focusing on sustainable and energy‑efficient transport solutions, including the use of biomethane, among other measures.

2022

Strategic industry expansion

Strategic Expansion of the Industry Portfolio. Over time, we have also succeeded in expanding our strategic focus. In addition to securing new major large-scale contracts, we broadened our industry portfolio and have now established a presence in the mechanical engineering, construction, and consumer goods sectors.

2018

Progressive internationalization of REICHHART

REICHHART is purposefully advancing the internationalization of its logistics network. Among other initiatives, we operate a site in Maubeuge, France, where we are strengthening our presence in the automotive environment. The focus there is on the sequencing and assembly of exhaust systems as well as exterior components. Further international locations are planned in order to offer our services in additional countries in the future.

2017

50 years of REICHHART

We are taking our anniversary as an opportunity to further develop our corporate identity and align it with the future. The interplay of progress and tradition is reflected in the new REICHHART corporate design and makes it clear: We will continue to design efficient and economical logistics solutions with competence and passion – tailored to the individual needs of our customers.

2009

Establishment of REICHHART's own vehicle fleet

In 2009, REICHHART took a stake in LOBEKO GmbH and thus brought the necessary vehicle fleet expertise in-house. Since then, the Vehicle Fleet competence centre has been an integral part of the company.

2006

Founding of REICHHART Logistique France SARL

The production and sequential provision of automotive components for a French OEM form the service portfolio of the French REICHHART subsidiary. It is based in Feignies/Maubeuge in northern France.

2003

Founding of REICHHART Logistik Austria GmbH

For an order from long-standing customer Eberspächer, we ventured across national borders for the first time in 2003 and founded REICHHART Logistik Austria GmbH, located near Graz. Production and assembly are among the core competencies of our Austrian subsidiary.

1999

Alexander Reichhart joins

Alexander Reichhart joins our company immediately after graduating. Just three months later, on January 1, 2000, he joins the REICHHART dual leadership alongside Michael Jackl.

1990

Contract logistics services

We continued to develop our service portfolio at the beginning of the 1990s and started the first contract logistics services. The aim is to offer our clients complete concepts from a single source. As part of an outsourcing project, we take over the shipping department at Dornier Luftfahrt GmbH in Oberpfaffenhofen for the large aircraft components produced there.

1988

Michael Jackl joins the company

After completing his business administration studies, Michael Jackl joins REICHHART as an assistant to the management. Due to his successful development of the company, he was named managing director at the beginning of 1991.

1969

Major customer STAHLGRUBER

Our client STAHLGRUBER is inextricably linked to the REICHHART company history. Started in 1969, we can now look back on around 50 years of collaborative partnership.

1967

Company formation

On April 1, 1967, Horst Reichhart registered a business for general goods traffic in Gilching. This is the birth of REICHHART. Started as a sole proprietorship, we now employ around 1,000 people.
