REICHHART Logistik renews fleet, replacing 53 vehicles

Efficiency, safety and modern technology play a major role in logistics. In REICHHART Logistik's own fleet, the logistics specialist meets these requirements by introducing new trucks. Covering long-distance transport and regular services as well as special transport runs, the logistics service provider's drivers are ideally positioned with a total of 53 new vehicles in 2023.

The handover of the first five MAN diesel trucks out of a total order of 28 took place at the manufacturer’s site in Karlsfeld. REICHHART was there with a replica of the very first REICHHART truck to personally take delivery of the vehicles. The new trucks will offer improved fuel consumption and reduced emissions in comparison to the old models, effectively complementing REICHHART's strategic integration of sustainable drive systems. The company is therefore pursuing a dual strategy here until complete decarbonisation becomes possible; for this, changes in framework conditions will be needed, such as expansion of filling station infrastructure for biomethane. Safety aspects are also a major consideration in the fleet renewal: for example, the newly acquired trucks feature a mirrorless camera-based system, which means that former blind spots are now completely in the driver’s view. This is a great leap forward in road safety.

The vehicles will be integrated into the fleet step by step throughout 2023.
