REICHHART Logistik takes over branch of BSW Logistik Services

Gilching near Munich / Bielefeld - Logistics service provider REICHHART has a new transport logistics location: As part of the company's M&A activities, the Bielefeld branch of BSW Logistik Services GmbH & Co KG was transferred to REICHHART Logistik. The official integration took place on December 1, 2022.

This acquisition strengthens REICHHART’s transport network in northwest Germany as well as its activities in the automotive sector. Operating a fleet of eight trucks, the newly acquired Bielefeld branch mainly carries out transport logistics activities for a major spare parts dealer in the automotive aftermarket. The annual sales volume amounts to approximately two million euros.

REICHHART’s goal is to further expand the site in the coming years. "Key arguments in favour of the acquisition included the strategically good location and the existing customer relationship, as well as the development opportunities," says Johanna Heyszl, Head of Finance, Controlling and Purchasing.

As part of the transition, 13 drivers and one commercial colleague have joined REICHHART. The transport services provided so far will remain in place. REICHHART will hire a new manager to oversee the branch with support from Wolfram Seifert, the current manager, who will continue in an advisory role on site until the end of 2023. "It was important to me that I hand over our Bielefeld branch to a family-owned company that represents similar values and can offer my employees promising prospects. I am convinced that I have made the right choice here with REICHHART," affirms Seifert.
