JELD-WEN Germany commissions REICHHART Logistik to perform plant logistics at its Oettingen site

Gilching near Munich - REICHHART Logistik GmbH has been commissioned to oversee plant logistics activities for the renowned door manufacturer, JELD-WEN Germany. At the production site in Oettingen, the logistics service provider took over production distribution at the beginning of October, thus establishing itself in a new sector.

In future, REICHHART will be responsible for plant logistics activities involved in the distribution of almost four million parts per year over an area of almost 10,000 square metres. The logistics specialist takes the finished doors from the production lines, stores them and picks the goods required for customer orders. The logistics team then prepares the shipments and subsequently loads the doors for transport.

Professionalism, innovative approaches and flexibility were the keys to success

In addition to a customised logistics concept, the decisive factor in winning the contract was a focus on building a long-term partnership with prospects for further development.
