1989The REICHHART Logistics Group had already established itself as a group of companies with sales amounting to 14 million German marks per annum as early as 1989. 70 vehicles were operating by order and on account of the company at that time. The company was involved in short-distance haulage, as well as long-distance an international transport. The vehicles carried general cargo, refrigerated goods, food, bought-in automotive components an new furniture.
1990
Structural changes in the commercial sector and an increase in the willingness of forwarders to entrust the implementation of previous core competencies to capable contractors led to a strategic reorientation of the Logistics Group. 1990 saw the beginning of the company´s gradual but continuous move away from freight forwarding services, shifting the main focus of its activities to existing major customers in trade and industry. The new strategy aimed to increase the company´s orientation to individual, customer-specific logistics services. It was not long before REICHHART was able to report receipt of its first outsourcing order to take over the complete shipping department of a well-known customer in the aerospace industry.
